The cruise lines all stop in Nassau. The day we arrived a Disney Ship was also there. The Royal Caribbean Ship "Mariner of the Seas" is gigantic, and holds over 3,000 passengers. These ships really are amazing to see.

Straw Market: The Straw Market

This cramped market was not worth the time, at least not for me. Here you can buy straw purses, hats and other items. But, if you really do want to get something inexpensive and unique to the area the straw market may be a good choice.

Bay Street is the main street we found on the island. Here you will find all the shops, mostly full of T shirts, island ware, and jewelry. I did find a nice CD with some cool island music in one of the shops. The lady running the store was playing it, and I inquired if she had any of them left for sale. She didn't, but finally agreed to sell me the disc she was playing....Score!

This is the place to hang out, relax, and enjoy the beautiful weather and views while sipping a cold one. The staff is friendly, prices moderate, and there is a store co located selling every Sr. Frogs item you could want. Cheers.
