| Why do people think I'm Norwegian |
When you mention Gdansk to people who have never been, they probably think of shipyards and nothing else.
Gdansk is actually a very pretty city with loads of historical old buildings that at times look very similar to the old Dutch buildings of Amsterdam.
Oh yeah the shipyard is big !!!! |
| | Places to see From Gdansk places worth a visit are Westerplatte ( this you can do on a boat that takes you through the shipyard ) You get these boats just at the bottom of the main old street that I am standing on n this picture ( yeah I know it has a name , but can I be bothered to dig it out )
Also train will take you to Sopot which is a seaside resort, or you can go the other way to Malbork and see Malbork castle which is rather special. |
| | Malbork castle Malbork is just a short trip on the train from Gdansk and the castle is rather special. Much of it was destroyed after the 2nd WW but it has been rebuilt in a way that you would never know |
