Berlin is a real city..
What do I mean by that, I suppose what you see is what you get with Berlin, warts and all.
If you like your 20th century history then this is the place, the Speer architecture, the communist TV Tower that seems to be visible from all parts of Berlin.
Berlin has fantastic buildings, great shops, interesting people its a 24 hr happening city.
It has attitude, the bars, clubs, people.
So much to see during the day, so many contrasts from east and west.
Plus if you get a sunny day then you should head to the beach in Berlin at Wannasee ( Spelt something like that )
It's in Berlin just south.
Berlin sits well for the train to various other citys ( like Prague , thats what I did )
Cost.... Not bad food, beer, not expensive
