The abundance of nature in Alaska captivated me immediately. Whether it be the moose wondering through the city, The salmon in the river straight through the middle of Anchorage, or the beautiful bears in McCarthy and Kennicot. I come from Texas where "everything is bigger." This saying seems to be confined to the people who have never had the pleasure of traveling outside of their own conservative state of Texas. The natural beauty of Alaska is unsurpassed. I have rarely had my breath taken away as many times as I did while in Alaska. Particularly the mountainous journey from Anchorage to McCarthy, a remote old minors town, was simply stunning. The lakes in the mountains have a shade of blue thats beauty cannot be described by words nor captured by camera. Similarly, the glaciers share this shade of blue which can only be described as ultimately soothing. This photo tries to capture the glacier's mezmorizing qualities. |
