Yonge Street: Shop and stroll at Yonge Street
  • Tip Rating:

  • Yonge Street is supposed as the longest street in the world at about 1900 km. In Toronto the street offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants and cafes. There are mostly boring chain stores and cheap souvenir shops at the beginning of the street, therefore it is a very touristy area. But further away from the centre in the university area Yonge Street is home to interesting small shops with second hand stuff like books or CDs.

Holger, now that you have seen the USA, perhaps you might venture into it next time? Will check out more of these tips later. Bill

A nice concise overview of Toronto and its attractions! I've visited many times on business but have never really done the 'tourist' thing there. Thanks for helping me out!

I really dislike it when they add tax at the cashier, so you never know what it costs beforehand...
