Getting TO/AROUND: Toronto Pearson International Airport is located 27 km northwest of downtown Toronto. The Airport Express buses connect the airport with downtown Toronto every 20 mins. The public transit system (TTC) is also an option, but be prepared for a long journey. The advantage: It is really cheap and you get an interesting overview of the city.

Getting TO/AROUND: VIA RAIL runs several trains from Montreal (4,5 hours), Ottawa (4 hours) and Windsor (4 hours) to Toronto (Union Station). Moreover there are regular connections via the famous Candian Line to Vancouver. The Union Station is located on the southern edge of the downtown at 140 Bay Street.

Getting TO/AROUND: Most of the main attractions are in walking distance of the centre. The public transit system (TTC) offers a perfect combination of buses, streetcars and subway to carry you to almost all destinations for only one fare. But keep in mind to take a transfer ticket when changing the vehicle.

A nice concise overview of Toronto and its attractions! I've visited many times on business but have never really done the 'tourist' thing there. Thanks for helping me out!

I really dislike it when they add tax at the cashier, so you never know what it costs beforehand...
