In June 2000 I was for about one week in Toronto in Ontario. It is a cosmopolitan and multicultural city.
Toronto combines modern architecture (e.g Financial district, New City Hall) with historic buildings (e.g. Castle Casa Loma, Old City Hall). It offers plenty of amazing sights (e.g. CN Tower, Sky Dome), busy shopping areas for all tastes and budgets (e.g. Yonge Street, Eaton Centre) as well as peaceful nature and beaches (e.g. Toronto Islands).
Don't forget to explore the many ethnic quarters of Toronto: Chinatown, Portugesetown, Greektown, Cabbage Town and many more are worth a visit.
Last but not least you can do an unforgettable daytrip by coach or train to the famous Niagara falls at the border to the USA.
