St. Stephen's Cathedral (Stephansdom) is probably Vienna's most known landmark. Standing at 137 m, it is the tallest church in Austria. The Gothic cathedral has 4 towers. The South and North Tower can be visited for magnificent views. The second largest swinging bell of Europe is located in the North Tower and called "Pummerin". Directions:St. Stephen's Cathedral is located at Stephansplatz, right in the heart of Vienna. The nearest metro stop is Stephansplatz (U1, U3).

The Charles' Church (Karlskirche) commemorates the plague epidemic of the year 1713. The Church was built in Baroque style between 1715 and 1737. Its huge cupola is 72 m tall and flanked by two 47 m tall columns. Directions:The Charles' Church is situated at the Karlsplatz; just south of St. Stephen's Cathedral. The nearest metro stop is Karlsplatz (U1, U2, U4).

The Giant Ferris Wheel (Wiener Riesenrad) was erected between 1896 and 1897 by the English engineer Walter Basset. From one of the 15 cabins you can enjoy scenic views of the Prater and Vienna. The Giant Ferris Wheel has a total height of 64.75 m. The Admission of 7.50 Euro (2004) includes a visit to the exhibition "The Wheel of History".

The Hundertwasser House (Hundertwasserhaus) is an apartment house which is owned by the community of Vienna. The house was the first architectural project of the famous Austrian architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser who died in February 2000. It was opened in 1985 after two years of construction and consists of about 50 flats, 5 shops and many private and communal terraces Directions:The Hundertwasser House is situated in Vienna's 3rd district, at the corner of Kegelgasse and Löwengasse. The nearest tram stop is Löwengasse (tram N).

The Palais Kinsky was built in Baroque style at the beginning of the 18th century. With its large-scale stucco decorations and ceiling paintings it is probably one of the most elegant Palais buildings in Austria. Palais Kinsky was constructed by Lukas von Hildebrandt for Count Daun who was one of the four military advisors of Maria Theresia.
