    • If you plan to visit Edinburgh during the last 3 weeks of August when the festival takes place, make sure to book accomodation well in advance. Edinburgh gets very crowded and all kinds of accomodation in the centre are usually fully booked. Apart from that, prices are often more expensive than during other times of the year.
    We called several B&Bs which were booked up, but we always asked if they knew any other places with vacancies. So we finally got the address of a sort of private B&B where we enjoyed the hopitality of the lovely hosts a lot.
