Horniman at Hays

I visited the Horniman at Hays with a bunch of happy VT members in February 2007. It is a large pub with a stylish wooden interior and noticeable lamps. In summer they also have a large outdoor terrace near the river Thames. Among the usual drinks they also have a selection of pub food on offer. The pub is named after Frederick Horniman who was a famous tea dealer at the Hay's Wharf. Due to its location at the tourist trail by the bank of the river Thames, the Horniman at Hays is much frequented by tourists.

Directions: The Horniman at Hays is situated on the right bank of the river Thames just inbetween Tower Bridge and London Bridge in an area called the Pool of London. The nearest tube station is London Bridge.

Tiger Tiger is just the perfect place to start a fabulous VT meeting in the late afternoon in Central London. It consists of a bar, a restaurant, a lounge and a club. Tiger Tiger isn't as posh as it seems to be. During the happy hour from 5 pm to 7 pm most drinks and the bar food are available at half price. At this time of the day the music is still turned to a reasonable volume, so that funny conversations are possible. The lavatory attendant is very helpful at TigerTiger: He presses the soap dispenser and gives you the paper towels. He really deserves a tip.

The bar On Anon offers 8 themed areas with various styles and interiors. Most drinks are half priced during happy hour from 5 pm to 7.30 pm and with a charming smile you still get them for half price when you are 2 minutes late.
