Since 1987 I have been to London more than 10 times for both holidays and business trips. London with an estimated population of more than 9 Mio. inhabitants is huge, exciting, multi-cultured, cosmopolitan and always worth a visit. In fact it is among my favourite cities in Europe.
It offers countless historic sights from Big Ben to the Tower of London. The newer must-see activities include the London Eye and the Tate Modern. Famous squares, markets and events don't let you feel bored. Green Parks like Hyde Park or Regent's Park invite for a relaxing rest in between a busy sightseeing day.
Last but not least London is well placed for daytrips by public transportation to the surrounding area. Among these are the royal enclave Windsor, the university town Oxford or the resorts on the English southcoast with Brighton being the most popular.
