On my Scandinavia trip in May and June 2004 I stayed 4 days in the Norwegian capital Oslo. It has about 510.000 inhabitants and is the oldest of Scandinavia's capitals.
Oslo is surrounded by mountains and situated at the head of Oslo Fjord, whose many islands are nice places to explore the Norwegian nature. Among the most popular attractions of the town is the famous Holmenkollen ski jump tower and the sculpture park Vigelandsparken.
Compared to other Scandinavian capitals Oslo has a very multicultural society and therefore offers a vibrant and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
