    • The Ponte Vecchio or Old Bridge is an inhabited urban bridge lined with jewellers shops. The current structure was built in 1345. It is is the is the only of Florence's bridges which survived WWII and several floods.

    • The church of Santa Maria Novella was finished in the middle of the 14th century. The facade is one of the earliest and most beautiful in Florence. It is a beautiful black and white building which dominates the Piazza Santa Maria Novella.

    • The Duomo (1327) is the fourth largest church in the world. The impressive cupola was created by Brunelleschi. The Duomo and the nearby Campanile (bell tower) can be climbed for magnificent views over the city.
    The oldest building in Florence is the Baptistry with its famous bronze doors.
