Nice city, few tourists

Big City

I´d booked a flight from Panama City to Quito, which allowed a FREE stopover in Bogota. I gave myself 4 days there, but once I arrived I changed my ticket and stayed 23 days in all, with a great nice 10 visit to Medellin.
Near old town
Basically to me, Bogota is a big city (7 million) and overall has a nice feeling to it. I did feel like people were watching me a bit when I arrived, but that feeling disappeared over time. There are lots of small malls and shops with hairdressers, internet shops, and coffee and small restaurants. Many are quite funky, and you get that vibe of artists all around.
Simon Bolivar Park
I´m very happy I made it out to this park. It´s the equivalent of Central Park in NYC (for Bogota). Very clean and fun atmosphere. I went on a Sunday.

Pros:"Nice food, people, clubs"
Cons:"You might get robbed at knifepoint if you don´t use minimal caution"
In A Nutshell:"Colombia is not dangerous like it apparently was even a couple years ago"

Bogota sounds to be a nice place to visit. I'm happy I plan to go there next year, even if its only for a few days.
