I stopped in the Hunza valley for 2 nights before crossing to China via the Karakoram Highway. This is definitely a place that gets a lot of travelers, and also a very beautiful place to visit
Overlooking Karimabad and the Hunza Valley is a recently beautifully restored fort. The entrance fee is 300 rupees ($5) for foreigners and was worth the price (a tour is included).
On the tour we were shown a slide of a Hunza resident who supposedly lived to be 108 (he looked 70) and had even apparently grown a new set of teeth. Please draw your own conclusions.
