Naxos is a great place to be. It has great beaches (particularly Agia Anna and Plaka) with great sand and a wonderful cristal clear sea. There are cheap and confortable accomodation next to the beach and the place is really quiet even in the peak of summer |
|  | The island is a bit barren... Although it is the biggest island in the cyclades, the beaches are great and the people are friendly the interior of the island is a bit of a deception. The place is quite barren and towns are not that interesting with the exception of Hora that is ok. Apollonas is a nice place to have a quiet lunch by the sea and Apiranthos is a nice place to stop in with its marble streets. |
