Tróia has a wonderful beach and it is only a few minutes away from Lisbon city centre. After a rocky path Tróia was purchased by the Sonae group that is transforming the place in a luxourious resort. I am romantic and prefered the previous decadent resort that can be seen in a video of the swedish band roxette: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=futTAfyRWpc. The beach is still there but now full of stores, casino, marina, etc, etc...

This area has good beachs, apart from those you mention near the ferry and the hotels/apartments. |
