What to say about Milan. Some people don't like it. They say it doesn't have all that much to see and that is dark. Other people say they love it with all the fashion and the many museums full of art. For me it is a city of art that if you like museums and shopping is a thrill. But it is not as glamorous as one might think.

Il Duomo di Millano

The heart of the city is the piazza del Duomo. The Duomo itself is a magnificent temple and the interior is just beautiful. The place was called fabrica (factory) for many years because it stayed incomplete for a long time. From the top you can have brilliant views over the city. The restauration of the building is almost over so you can soon have the most amazing view of the cathedral. The entry in the cathedral is free and to go to the top you have to pay (door in the back of the cathedral). Remember that in Italy they have rules for the dressing to go in church. So shorts can't show the knees and no tops.

Sempione Castle

Castle Sempione is another of the musts of the city. The interior is full of museums. The castle has several yards where you can relax a bit and a huge garden lays behind the castle.
