Eveking is now part of the town of Werdohl. There is nothing that special really in Eveking but I was looking which destinations on the map were in the VT database in the vicinity of Herscheid to go for a short outing.

We passed through Eveking on our way to Pungelscheid.

At first when coming along the main road I thought that Eveking was just a few old houses along the road and a bus stop. But there is a small old stone bridge and some of the houses along the main road have clearly seen better times when industrial factories were still around and running. Then I spotted the church and on our walk up to the church we saw that Eveking has a lovely residential area.

Friedenskirche Eveking Things to Do (1)

I haven't found any information on when the Friedenskirche, a protestant church, was built. It must have been some time... more travel advice

I was born in Eveking and am trying to find a picture of the catholic church where I was baptized.

Hi Sonja, thanks for posting VT's first and only Eveking page. I once passed close by on my bicycle, going from Siegen to Hagen, and I once had a business trip to Gummersbach. But I must admit I have never been to Eveking.
