Welcome to Frauenalb

Frauenalb lies in the Alb valley in the northern Black forest not far from Karlsruhe and even closer to Ettlingen.

I came here with Christine (tini58de) for a short half-day trip visiting the convent ruins in Frauenalb and the city of Ettlingen.

What a shame that such a lovely old building should have been destroyed by fire! But it seems the two of you had a lovely day out here nevertheless :-)

It looks like you had fantastic weather during your visit to Frauenalb! I loved your photos of the old Convent - so well built and with so much history that it was sad to see it now standing in ruins.
