There is some interesting architecture in Osaka. If you arrive by Shinkansen then you get off at Shin-Osaka from where you need to take another train to Osaka, where you can find the JR Loop line.
Osaka station can be quite confusing.

I really enjoyed going up to the top where I was by myself except for the security guard. The view is absolutely great.... more travel advice
