I always dreamt of going to Timbuktu. So finally, I decided to book such a trip. It was a 2 week group tour with Explore Worldwide which included a 5 day hike in the Dogon country. Our group had about 14 people mostly from English speaking countries and a couple from Moscow.
I flew into Bamako where I joined the group. We travelled to Segou, Djenne, Dogon country, Mopti, Timbuktu and flew back to Bamako.
Before I had a digital camera I used to take mostly slides with my Minolta X-700 and prints with my Minox as a backup or when it was easier and quicker with the little camera. As I have no facility to scan slides, you see here only prints taken with my little camera. |
