We came to Goerlitz on Easter Saturday on a day trip by train from Dresden. I liked Goerlitz very much and wouldn't mind to return in the warm season.

The Silesian Goerlitz came to Sachsen in 1945 while the other side of the Neisse river became Zgorzelec in Poland.

It's called "Jüdische Gemeinde Görlitz" - very helpful! Alex Jacobowitz	Trillian2005 Tue May 27, 2008 20:00 UTC Looks like a lovely place! Only passed through on my way to Wroclaw. Should visit next time, especially since one of my ancestors had the last name "Görlitz" (Gerlitz in Polish spelling)! :-)
