Gotha Travel Guide: 26 reviews and 96 photos

I came to Gotha when I travelled 4 days in the area visiting Naumburg, Lutherstadt Wittenberg and Halle.

Gotha was first mentioned in 775 in a document. It is situated in Thuringa and has about 46000 inhabitants.

The old town of Gotha looks to be a lovely place to walk around in on a sunny summers day.

Interesting tips on all the things I haven't seen in Gotha! I've been there twice, but haven't seen much besides the railroad station and the Adult Education Center. (There's one short tip on my Eisenach page.)

Schloss Friedenstein and Orangerie are so typical and like all Schlosses in Germany are so attractive! Thuringian roast sausage looks traditionally delicious... Am-am!
