I flew into Podgorica hours before HORSCHECK arrived. So I had time to take a walk from the hotel to the bus/railway station to check out the timetables for the next day, when we continued our trip to Ulcinj.
In the evening we took a walk from the hotel into downtown Podgorica where we tried to find a restaurant to have a meal. This wasn't easy at all as there are lots of cafés without meals or else as it was a Saturday night they were all packed and who wants to sit inside on a warm evening?!
- In a nutshell:A good arrival/departure point.

Hi Sonja - it seems you had fun discovering how transport 'system' works in Podgorica. This will be very helpful for other travelers. greetings, v.
Good practical tips, and it's always nice to know which side of a train to sit on for the best views :-)
That hotel deserves its name: ideal :-) It looks cute!
an interesting location and I have to admit, I did not know it is the capital of Montenegro ! ;-((
Good useful tips, but as there are no flights from Helsinki direct to this place, we haven't been here.... yet :)
nice views of Millenium Bridge
Sieht mir aus wie ein Transitpunkt, nix sonst, oder? Wenigstens haben sie direkte Flüge von/nach Zürich!
Lovely little page with very helpful practical tips about former Titograd. *winkygrin*
Sounds like you found a good place to stay in!
