The big concert hall in the KKL has excellent qualities but don't sit on the uppermost balcony or else you get very hot. The building is by Jean Nouvelle.

Lucerne is only about 50 minutes by train from Zurich and therefore I go there every now and then.

The city feature a lovely old town and a town wall with towers to climb. Also very popular are trips to Pilatus mountain or boat trips on the lake.

In 1999/2000 I worked here for about 18 months and during that time I lived here for about a year.

Pros:Easy to reach, a must see in Switzerland
Cons:Can get very touristy

Have not been to Lucerne since 1983, but it still looks like a beautiful little town. We missed our chance to take the funicular up the famous mountain I think!

Gefängnishotel ?? Gute Idee, ein-checken geht einfach, AUS-checken hoffentlich auch ;~) In Dänemark habe ich auch so ein Hotel gesehen !
