We came to Bran on a Sunday by bus. The place was packed with foreign tour groups as well as with heaps of local visitors. It looks like Bran is a popular Sunday outing for whole families and their friends.

Strange that they should charge almost as much to take photos - even if it IS only a small amount.

It's interesting how the castle in Bran became associated with Dracula/Vlad. I guess it was much easier to sell to tourists than Vlad's real castle which is a pile of rubble ;-)

Hi Sonja, I'm always amazed at the remote places that you and Holger manage to visit. The castle looks very spooky and nice, and I imagine the tourists all go there because of the alleged Dracula connection.

Nice place in visit one day. I hope Romania is still not so expensive to stay for some days!
