I found our accomodation on hostelworld.com. It was a bit outside the center but was not very difficult to get to as it was at the end of the trolleybus lines number 2 and 4. Plus nearby there was a bus line no. 85 that took you to the railways station in a few stops.

The accomodation which had private rooms is located in a very non-touristy spot, so you get to see how the majority of people live. Our room (I think it was number 3) was big and considered a suite. It could sleep three but we booked for two people. It had its own bathroom with a Bulgarian style shower which means that half the bathroom gets wet when you shower and you need to save the toilet rolls before you start showering. The room also had a kitchenette with a fridge but no stove. But it had a filter coffee making device with which you could also make tea. So we bought things from the market/supermarket of our part of town for breakfast as it was not included in the room rate. We paid Euro 24 for the double. The matresses were a bit on the very soft side.

I would stay there again as it was a rather quiet location.

The family renting out those rooms lives in the house themselves so if you have questions or need anything they are easy reachable.
