"Willkommen in Schwaz - Tirol" Schwaz by yumyum

Schwaz Travel Guide: 18 reviews and 36 photos

Schwaz is one of the oldest towns in Austria. Quite a few buildings are from the 16th century.

The fame came from the silver pits. In the old days it was the biggest silver town in the world.

There are things to be seen than I have tips for as I was only a very short time in this town.

The city lies on the Inn river.

The flag of Schwaz.

Looks delightful! Isn't it marvellous how Tourist Offices close at busy times when they're likely to be needed most? here in the UK, the you get the worst provision for public transport on a Sunday when most people have the day off and might use it!

Hmm, you have been to some places, I haven't even heard of. But as it is one of the oldest Austrian towns I should put it on my list ... :o)
