Schwaz is one of the oldest towns in Austria. Quite a few buildings are from the 16th century.
The fame came from the silver pits. In the old days it was the biggest silver town in the world.
There are things to be seen than I have tips for as I was only a very short time in this town.
The city lies on the Inn river.
- Pros:pretty and interesting
- Cons:none noticed
- In a nutshell:a must see if you spend your vacation in Tirol

Hi sonja. this town looks lovely. Would love to see it one day. Regards, Kate.
Schwarts seems a wonderful place. i must visit some time. Thanks for your comments on Dakar and Hughada. I enjoyed in El Gouna.I am in hamburg now working for a few days. Very cold and humid.
Hope that you had a good start to the new year and a good time in Kufstein!Greetings
Looks like a lovely little town. One day I would like to travel around in Tirol.
Another beautiful town in Austria.God, how I love this little country.Am back there in April 08 to meet my friends and continue exploring the rest of Europe.
an interesting castle, a great church and cloister, that is a good tip for my next time in Tirol !
One more wonderful Castle - Freundsberg and beautiful place to visit. I hope it will happen by chance... Thanks Sonja for sharing!
Looks delightful! Isn't it marvellous how Tourist Offices close at busy times when they're likely to be needed most? here in the UK, the you get the worst provision for public transport on a Sunday when most people have the day off and might use it!
Nice little town with lovely old architecture, I see. Thanks for sharing.
Hmm, you have been to some places, I haven't even heard of. But as it is one of the oldest Austrian towns I should put it on my list ... :o)
