2009 will be a busy travel year with many short trips to Germany, then Poland, Portugal, Iceland and again Poland and Bulgaria, Serbia and Romania
Currently, I have no more holiday plans for this year. Maybe I will go somewhere after Christmas. In winter I would like to see some snow for a change and spend a week in the Swiss mountains doing some cross-country skiing - let's see if this plan turns into reality ;)
Of course, I will spend some weekends in Germany like for the Glühwein meeting in Karlsruhe in December. |

I was just looking at all the photos of my Zurich page and realized that it desparately needs an overhaul. I have lots of restaurant tips but have neglected the other categories. So this will be my big project for the rest of the year. Mind you I have taken lots of pictures all along just never got round to write the tips and then the photos disappeared into the anonymity of the hard drive ;))) |
My first trip abroad was to Vienna when I was five years old. Ever since then the travel bug has never left me although the interests in different countries have changed. I used to work, save money, travel, work and save money again and again.... These days I just don't have enough time to travel anymore and I must admit that I'm not too keen on long plane rides anymore.
Generally, I prefer travelling by train even long distances and even if it means that I don't know how to sit anymore :)))
