A vibrant, full city | Plenty of green spaces in Seville... |
Sevilla is everything that people expect of Spain.
The home of flamenco, a strong gitano culture, the replacement of Islam by christianity, the resting place (allegedly) of Columbus and Spanish exploitation of the new world, the crime, the heat, the architecture, the fiestas (easter in particular). To visit Seville is to visit Spain. However, it is in danger of being overrun with tourists (as Barcelona has been).
It should be noted that Seville is not particularly pushchair friendly, and there is a lack of things for kids to do, particularly in wet weather. |
