L'enduro! Once a year 300000 people from all over northern France and neighbouring coubtries descend on Le Touquet for the world famous Enduro Races on the beach. It looks as though 2005 will be the last. The Mairie has bowed to the environmentalists and has declared it so. Whether the commercial interests agree remains to be seen... after all 300000 spending money in a town that is usually dead as a dodo?????? I'm sure they can make up the losses! |
