After a less than exciting Christmas Market in Arras last year, we decided to give the one in Lille a bit of a go.
We have been to Lille before but not for any time, and remembered how hard it was to navigate and finf parking in the old town.
This time we used a GPS and it took us right to the Grand Place where the parking was full!
In the end we went around the corner from the Flandre station and parked in the Tanneurs shopping mall parking. |

Elephants? For an Indian cultural festival the station and the road down to it were lined on both sides with elephants and lights in large grounded candelabra.
Th station itself had the facade covered in a "Bombay" pattern.
