Grand Teton NP to the south of Yellowstone has a very different feel to it than its bigger neighbour. It doesn't have the spectacular array of geothermal features that you find in Yellowstone, but the massive Grand Teton mountain range, rising straight out of a flat valley certainly provides some dramatic scenery.

Grand Teton is also much more accessible than Yellowstone, and offers a lot more possibilities for outdoor activities, and you can go kayaking, white-water rafting or horse riding (nose-to-tail rides) and there are plenty of great hiking trails.

So rather than just driving from one attraction to the next, as I did in Yellowstone, I was a lot more out and about in Grand Teton, and felt much closer to nature there. I also saw a lot more wildlife in Grand Teton than I did in Yellowstone, like moose, beavers, and even a grizzly!
