When visiting the Gambia don't forget to visit the capital city Banjul. Its an old colonial city with a few buildings left of the early Brittisch times. Most of the buildings are in a bad shape and not taken care of. do visit the Albert market (partly covered - interesting to hide from the hot sun during the day) and start bargaining on prices. Almost everything can be found overthere. Also visit the harbar. All of the imported stuff arrives at Banjul Harbor. It is great to watch the carcargo's coming in from Europe. |
