I lived not far from Baltimore for nine years, so coming to Baltoberfest was a return to my roots. Balt'mer has undergone a transformation since those early, pre-Beltway days; formerly seedy areas have been cleaned up and remodeled. Today visitors to the city think, "How charming and historic!" instead of "Omigawd, I wonder if I can get back to the hotel without being mugged?" |

It occurs to me that Baltoberfest could be even better than Oktoberfest because you could have it every month, not just in October! Good thinking .. :) |
