Of all the places around the world that I have travelled in, Australia is my favorite! Where else can you find a land almost the size of the continental United States with about 20 million people in it. The air is clean, the water pure, the food wonderful, and the people about the friendliest I have ever met. They have national health care and great universities. The beaches are trendy, less uptight than in the USA, more like Europe. I have been five times, once as a university student, and four times as a visitor. I like it so much I want to migrate permanently. The surfing and resort town of Noosa Heads, Queensland, with its beautiful national park on three sides of the town, was where I lived when I attended uni. I lived there for a year and I always pay an extended visit when I go back to Oz, except on my most recent trip in 2005. I also really like Byron Bay in northern New South Wales, Magnetic Island near Townsville in northern Queensland, and Perth, wonderful Perth. A city of modest size, modern, backpacker friendly, with ocean beaches whiter than sugar. What are you waiting for!!!???

Pros:"Beautiful weather for most part, friendly people"
Cons:"Long haul to get there and hard to migrate to"
In A Nutshell:"I've been obsessed with living there for 20 years-go and you will see why!"
