I really loved Venice but I think we went at the right time and with the right people! Summer time must be crazy with too many tourists!
Words don't do this place justice ....
- Pros:Beautiful, romantic, historic .......
- Cons:Nightlife isn't great ... and don't get me started on the gondoliers!

We dined at the Antiche Cantine Ardenghi in Venice one month before you. We agree with your description of the place. It was the best dining experience we had in all of Italy!
