I enjoyed Caracas very much way back in 1984 on a trip through almost entire Latin America.

I stayed at the ""Tamanaco Inter-Continental Caracas"", which is located near the residential area of Caracas surrounded by tropical gardens with spectacular city views and only minutes from the city center. The hotel offers superb leisure facilities for all guests.

I made my first acquaintance with Latino hospitality during a wedding party at the hotel to which I was invited although neither being a friend nor a relative.

At that time in 1984 we had to be careful at night time leaving the hotel just walking. The nearby area was known for robbing and pick pocket theaves. Therefore, after dark it was always recommended to go by taxi to any destination outside the hotel
