"Memoirs of a Geisha_Girl" Kyoto by Geisha_Girl

Visiting Kyoto is like being taken back many centuries when life in Japan was simple and the land remained untouched by modern technology. My fondest memory of Kyoto was just its simplistic beauty and the colorful landscapes that surrounded it.

Visiting Kyoto truly felt like I was coming home. Perhaps it was due to the fact that, as a little girl, I used to see many photographs of this "birthplace of the Geisha" that my father would bring home from his journeys overseas in the Navy. I was mesmerized by these beautiful pictorials of kimono-clad women and beautiful cherry blossoms. The actual place was just as I remembered it from the photographs.

When visiting Japan, one must make the journey to Kyoto.
It's several hours by bullet train from Tokyo, but it is worth making the trip!

It's kind of disappointing that ALL of the actors in the movie "Memoirs of a Geisha" are Chinese and not Japanese. Anyway, Nice Kyoto page!
