For a first time visitor, New Orleans can be exactly what one imagines it to be. Full of vibrant, exciting nightlife while still maintaining the slow, cool, pace of the old South. New Orleans is an exciting city with many flavors. The closest I got to this place as a kid, was walking down "Orleans Street" in Disneyland!

If you LOVE to party and don't mind the drunk, sticky crowds, then head to the Big Easy during Mardi Gras in February. For myself, I prefer to travel off season when it's easier to book a hotel room. No matter what time of year you visit, it seems like everyday is Mardi Gras on Bourbon St.!

My friends and I really enjoyed our experience in New Orleans during the hot, sticky summer!

Pros and Cons

Pros:EVERYDAY is Mardi Gras in N'awlins!
Cons:Bourbon St. smells like the aftermath of one hell of a Frat Party!
In a nutshell:Bag daer, dat town can make each a one a coo-yon de'pouille. Know what I mean?

Busted, down on Bourbon Street, Set up, like a bowlin' pin. Knocked down, it get's to wearin' thin. They just won't let you be, oh no.
