Name of Shop: Alla Prima
We had a 5:30pm dinner reservation with our fellow VTers in San Francisco. We were half an hour early......what are two VT women supposed to do? (Bond_Girl and Geisha_Girl). SHOP FOR LINGERIE of course!! We stumbled upon this lovely boutique 2 doors down from the restaurant, Cafe Jacqueline on Grant St. What a find!
What To Buy: Alla Prima is without a doubt, one of the best lingerie shops in the city. A great place to get *special* items, as well as the everyday basics. With a friendly staff, it's a great place to pick up a wide selection of brands such as La Perla, Audabe, and Cosabella.
What To Pay: Their prices are much better than the Dept. stores.

Name of Shop: K-Mart
Where else can one find, Martha Stewart (pre-indictment) Everyday brand housewares, Joe Boxer underwear, Kathy Ireland swimwear, and buy popcorn, peanuts, apple jacks and candy kisses all under one roof? K-MART of course! K-mart has been around since I was a little tyke hiding in the car so my friends won't see me shop there! Now that store is a GODSEND for Q-Tips, Dishwashing liquid.........everything you need for your home! There are very few K-mart storechains left around the Bay Area. Most have been replaced by mega-TARGET stores and the Wal-Mart empire. K-mart will always be a symbol of my youth. When I used kick and scream when my mother would drag me there as a kid!
What To Buy: Q-tips, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper......EVERYTHING your household needs!
What To Pay: Cheaper than Target
