Original Sacher Torte Shop: The famous Sacher Torte

The Original Sacher Torte shop is a branch of the original shop in Vienna. The Hotel Sacher, which claims rights to the delicious dessert cake, has its original Hotel and shop in Vienna and a branch in Salzburg. The benefit for my wife and I is that we don't have to go too far from her parent's house to get the original world class Sacher Torte. The staff inside is always extremely pleasant and I suppose they should be because the prices are quite steep. As high as they may be though, it's completely worth it for the amazing treat in store!

What to buy: Sacher Torte!!!!

What to pay: Prices vary depending on how big a cake you buy. They have individual pieces for about 7 Euro and large cakes for about 35 Euros.

Christmas in Salzburg: Christmas Ornaments in a most delightful way The Chirstmas Store Review

This very unique shop sells eggs. The catch is they're not meant for eating, these eggs are emptied egg shells that are hand painted with beautiful designs and used as all types of ornaments. Christmas, Easter, Spring, even Halloween, they're all represented. I'm sorry I don't know the name of the store but if you follow Getreidegasse to where it meets with Judengasse, you'll see it on the left hand side next to the Hotel Altstadt.

What to buy: As many eggs as you can carry. They make great gifts but they are extremely fragile!!!!

Getreidegasse is the main shopping street in Salzburg. Many little shops offer a myriad of items to buy. Take a walk along the streets and you may find some Austrian Treasures.
