Even though it is not complete, its beauty and grandeur attract thousands of tourists and even inspired Walt Disney to model the castle of the Magic Kingdom after it.

It isn't a pure example of ANY established architectural style. The original plans were to reconstruct the ruins of the Hohenschwangau castle inhabited by the ancient German Knights of Schwangau in the Nuremberg late gothic style. The king later decided to shift styles (in mid-construction!) to create a monumental “Romanesque” castle. In short: SCloss Neuschwanstein is a brilliant example of what can happen when an insane royal art fanatic has access to (almost) unlimited funds. And I love it!!!

I haven't been here, but my parents, my sister and 2 of my children have. I'm anxious to see more of your pages finished but I know it takes time.
