The first time I visited there was just after I had graduated the university. New York had been one of my "ever dreaming to go" destinations. To tell the truth, I just wanted to visit where John Lennon had been intersepted his life. That had been the most reason for me to visit there. You know, it didn't mean to me nothing more than "one of the greatest city in the world" and I expected nothing more than what I already had in Tokyo. But, oh yes the appearance there was really simillar to Tokyo, something, you know atmosphere or somehow, are totally different from Tokyo. I have gotten be in love with the town.
The next time I visit there was with my wife. It was when just after we had gotten married and as the addtional destination to Montego Bay, Jamaica where we spent our honeymoon. My wife has been to New York before we met, too. She had not been satisfied with that experience since the weather then was too bad. The weather being below freezing point was too cold for her not to hang down her face on the ground... She has told me she had been always watching down on her toes on the streets then. So she also wanted to get back in there again. It was so OK for me though we couldn't have a very long stay.

I was there in February 1997 too, and it was cold.

Both Tokyo & NYC are metropolises - my Favoutite in NYC is Chrysler bldg ;-)))
