There's only one word that can describe Salzburg - MAGICAL. We spent 7 nights here, and arrived just before Christmas. The streets were lined with Christmas trees and decorations, and by night, the town lit up like nothing we'd ever seen. The people were just so friendly, and welcoming - we had the most wonderful time. Among the highlights was: Visiting Mozarts Birthplace, Mozarts Parent's House (where he spent his later teenage years, Hohensalzburg Fortress, and the Salt Mines (only 1/2 hour drive from Salzburg town in Bad Ischl).
