San Antonio is more than just a city of great tourist attractions. It is also the city that many young men and women arrive at to receive their 6+ weeks of basic training for the Air Force. Each year, over 35,000 new recruits go through Basic Training at Lackland Air Force base.. After 6 1/2 weeks the recruits have their graduation ceremony.
