Wherever the road may take you, the journey through the countryside is beautiful and unspoilt. The roads are good. It is a land of beautiful beaches, friendly people, and spectacular mountain scenery. Flowers are in bloom all around and birding is very good there also. |
| | Spectacular sunsets I don't believe that I have ever seen any sunsets anywhere that were prettier than we saw when we were in Jamaica. Just spectacular! |
| | National bird The national bird of Jamaica is the streamertail or Dr Bird as they are often called. What ever you call them they are beauties. They have emerald feathers, black crown, and long curved tail feathers. Some have black bills and some have red. They can be seen in the trees and bushes. Their picture also can be seen on the two dollar bill and they are on the logo of Air Jamaica. Take a look at my Anchovy page to see us feeding the birds. |
