Exploring Thailand

by kyoub - last update: Jul 1, 2004

Thailand at a glance

Monastery
Thailands travel scene has many faces. Exploring everything that the country has to offer would take a lifetime.
Here are just a few scenes that remind me of my time there.
Wat

Temples

Beautiful temples and wats at every turn. Each one unique and worth a photo stop.
This large, Rattanakosin-style temple has finely carved doors.
It is on the outskirts of Phuket.
Reclining Buddha

Buddha

You see Buddha in many different places.
This Buddha was in the mountain near Krabi..
We just had to stop to take that picture.

Excellent overview of Thailand. Wat Thammikaram, Tiger Cave Monatery and Holy City certainly look amazing. Elephant ride and canal cruise sound interesting and wonderful to us. ~ho & pang

The river cruise on the old rice barge sounded wonderful--your ride atop the elephant must have been exciting, too--you sure can't do that in Texas!

A great overview. You seem to have stayed in some lovely places. I'd enjoy a ride on an elephant & the canal boat trip, and I like the photo of the bee eater especially

Temples, birds and boat ride up Khao Daeng Canal through mangrove swamps full of birds, and monkeys sound very attractive to me. Enjoyable local custom tip + picture :-)
