"Island of surprises" Top 5 Page for this destination Mahé by kyoub

Mahé Travel Guide: 215 reviews and 787 photos

Climb the mountains for panoramic views out over the Indian Ocean, sip tea at the tea factory, go bird watching, or just relax on one of the most beautiful islands, certainly the most remote, in the world.
Mahe has over 60 beautiful beaches and this is the reason that most tourists come here but there are many other things to see here.
Mahe is an island of surprise and discovery.

Mahe is the largest island in the Seychelles. It is 17 miles long and 5 miles across. It is home to the country's capital, Victoria.
Victoria is the only town and one of the world's smallest capital cities.
The town center is marked by a clock tower.
This clock is a replica of the clock tower on London's Vauxhall Bridge.

On most beaches the only footprints that you see, wil be your own.

No mini moke for us there, we just had a car with many miles.
It did well for us though.

You managed to see quite a bit of beautiful Mahé during your time on the island! That rule about having pre-booked accoms is quite strange! I liked your 'flying fox' photo - it reminded me of seeing them hanging from trees in Papua New Guinea.

Both Beau Vallon and secluded beaches look fantastic! Wow, gardens, fruit bats, small waterfall etc. etc. make this place very special. Well, maybe too touristy at places :-)

Cuch a lovely Island with spice gardens, tea factory, fruit bats, National Park, small waterfall, ruins, craft and ceramics market, & beautiful Botonical Gardens. It's such a pleasure to read about your adventures because they are so well written

Beautiful area especially the turquoise beaches and the coast road near Port Glaud. " Exciting" place where going to Church is a social event and you have to look out for falling coconuts.
